I am selling a pair (2 pcs) of MOLLA lamps by Franca Stagi & Cesare Leonardi for LUMENFORM, early 70s.
The conditions are very good, only minimal signs of wear due to age: The spotlights are controlled via a rotary switch on the lamp body and can be flexibly adjusted along their entire length using the wheels. The orientation can also be chosen with complete freedom.
The flexible and foldable chrome-plated rods offer versatile application options at different room heights.
Floor light "Molla" by designers Cesare Leonardi and Franca Stagi for Lumenform, Italy 1971. Flexible chrome-plated steel rod finished at the ends with a rubber ball. The chrome-plated projector moves along the rod thanks to two rubber wheels. The tension between floor and ceiling is sufficient to support this minimalist floor light. Cesare Leonardi (Modena, 1935-2021) graduated from the Faculty of Architecture in Florence in 1970. Franca Stagi (1937-2008) graduated from the Polytechnic of Milan in 1962. Together they ran a professional studio in Modena from 1963 to 1983, which distinguished itself by creating fiberglass design objects such as the Nastro and Dondolo armchairs, published in design magazines and books and part of the permanent collections of the most important museums in the world: MoMA in New York, Victoria and Albert Museum in London, Vitra Design Museum in Weil am Rhein.
