ABOUT THIS DESIGN
The Ludvik Volak Drevopodnik Holesov room divider, designed in the 1960s by Czech designer Ludvík Volák for Dřevopodnik Holešov, is an iconic example of Mid-Century Czechoslovak design. The furniture immediately stands out due to its characteristic organically bent wooden slats made of steam-bent plywood. This striking Shelving unit was originally designed as a transparent room divider to spatially divide larger rooms without blocking daylight.
Thanks to its construction on a sturdy base, the Ludvik Volak Drevopodnik Holesov room divider stands extremely stable in the interior, both freestanding and against a wall. The unique pattern of the bent wooden compartments also offers space for books, plants or decorative objects. A rare collector's classic that effortlessly brings a warm, vintage atmosphere into a modern, industrial or retro living concept.
