Product description
This is a Danish sideboard from the 1960s, crafted from richly figured rosewood. The piece is a fine example of Mid-Century Scandinavian design, characterized by its clean lines, functional form, and the dramatic grain of the wood.
The cabinet features a rectangular case constructed from rosewood veneer, showcasing a vibrant, book-matched grain pattern across the two sliding doors. The doors are fitted with elegantly recessed, oblong pulls, also carved from solid rosewood. Inside, the cabinet reveals a contrasting lighter wood interior, equipped with adjustable shelving for versatile storage. The entire structure is supported by a solid wood base with tapered legs, a hallmark of Danish modern furniture.
This sideboard is presented in very good vintage condition, retaining its original finish and deep, warm patina. The quality of the Danish craftsmanship is evident in the precise joinery and the smooth operation of the sliding doors. The piece has been well-maintained over the decades, preserving the integrity of its design and materials.
With its compact proportions, this low sideboard is well-suited for use as a media console in a living room, a storage cabinet in a dining area, or an elegant credenza in an office. Its timeless aesthetic complements both vintage and contemporary interiors, adding a touch of classic Scandinavian warmth and sophistication.
Very good condition. Wall hangers on the back. Cable cutouts—a great cabinet for hiding an audio system.
