About this seller
Private sellerProduct description
A set of three dining chairs designed by Louis van Teeffelen for Wébé. This design, known as the 'Kastrup' model, is a characteristic example of Dutch furniture design from the mid-20th century, with a clear influence of Danish organic modernism.
The chairs are made of warm-toned wood, probably teak, and have an elegant, sculptural frame. The organically shaped backrest offers comfort and a refined aesthetic. The seats are upholstered in black skai, a material that combines durability with a sleek look. This combination of materials is typical of Van Teeffelen's designs and the Mid-Century style.
The overall condition of the chairs is good, with a character that matches their age. The woodwork has an authentic patina and the construction is solid. The upholstery is intact and functional, making the set immediately usable.
These 'Kastrup' chairs are a stylish addition to a dining area and fit perfectly into both vintage and contemporary interiors. They combine well with other design classics from the Mid-Century Modern period.
