Product description
The Louis Kalff NT-61 pendant lamp, designed for Philips, is a characteristic example of mid-century lighting design. This model distinguishes itself through its geometric silhouette and the contrasting materials typical of Kalff's design language. Showing signs of use and age. See photos of the interior.
The lamp features a black metal cylinder interrupted by an opal glass or plastic ring, creating a diffused and atmospheric light all around while also casting focused light downwards. The combination of black and white gives the fixture a graphic and timeless appearance. The design reflects the industrial and modernist influences of the 1960s.
The fixture is in a condition commensurate with its age and use, while retaining its character and functionality. The original construction and finish remain intact, contributing to the authentic vintage look.
This pendant lamp is perfectly suited above a dining table or in a hallway, where it serves as both a functional light source and an architectural element. The design integrates effortlessly into modernist, minimalist, or eclectic interiors.
