Superb set of three antique porcelain plates from the Haas & Czjzek factory, located in Schlaggenwald (today Horní Slavkov, Czech Republic), in Bohemia.
Estimated dating: 1888–1896, according to the mark with two crossed arrows accompanied by the letter « S », visible on the reverse.
These three plates feature delicate cobalt blue country scenes, each with a different decor:
- A fishing scene on a bridge, surrounded by trees and small dwellings.
- A pastoral landscape with figures and animals.
- A lively rural scene with cattle, near an old ruined building.
The compositions are accompanied by floral bouquets and small birds, in an elegant romantic style.
The scalloped borders feature a rich rocaille decor molded in relief, characteristic of the historicist forms of the late 19th century.
