Set of 2 Locus Solus Lounge Chairs and Ottoman by Gae Aulenti for Poltronova – Restored
Rare set of two lounge chairs and an ottoman from the Locus Solus series, designed by Gae Aulenti and produced by Poltronova in the late 1960s.
An iconic example of 1960s Italian design, the collection is distinguished by its tubular lines and the playful character typical of Radical Design.
The set has been completely restored in Italy: the metal frame has been retouched while maintaining the classic Poltronova orange, while the cushions have been reupholstered with new, high-quality padding and upholstered in white and ochre yellow jacquard cotton with a geometric pattern that elegantly recalls the graphic style of the 1960s and Gae Aulenti's aesthetic.
