Very rare lounge chair, model Leather Lounge Chair 04 / LL04, designed in 2004 by the Belgian designer Maarten van Severen for Pastoe, Netherlands. After Van Severen's sudden death in 2005, Pastoe produced the LL04 in a limited edition of only 250 copies, of which this is number 127. The design is pure, refined and graphic, with a single-sided armrest as a surprising element. To emphasize the lines, a minimal thickness in materials was chosen. The seating area is constructed from a thin stainless steel frame over which a natural cognac harness leather hide is stretched. Thanks to the four minimal, sleek stainless steel legs, the seat shell almost seems to float. This chaise longue is not only visually appealing, it also offers a comfortable seat thanks to the pleasant angle of the backrest, the armrest and the natural resilience of the leather. Due to its exceptional rarity, museum provenance and distinctive design concept, this LL04 chair is a particularly sought-after object for collectors and lovers of contemporary design.
