Product description
Livio Seguso, heavy Murano glass bowl, Rainbow Design, 1993.
This bowl is a rare design piece designed by Livio Seguso. The rainbow creates a beautiful lens effect with the right light or exposure.
The rainbow colors are interrupted by a dripping organic black line.
A bulbous piece has been added where the flap folds. That sphere has a glass bubble on the inside that enhances the play with light, an intuition that he will magnify in his sculptures.
The bowl is marked at the bottom with "Bisazza Vetro 1993".
In general, Livio Seguso is known for its beautiful glassware, and if there is a vase named "Rainbow", you might expect it to contain colorful elements. Often, Seguso uses his skills in hand-blown glass to create unique and artistic pieces.
There are several scratches at the bottom of the shell due to shifting on an uneven surface. The scratches can be professionally polished if necessary. See detailed photos. There are no chips or cracks.
