This iconic composition by the artist depicts a theatrical or cabaret scene where a nude woman is surrounded by cats, birds, and numerous stylized portraits integrated into a decorative architectural setting. The work poetically blends naive art, illustration, and the spirit of the decorative arts of the 1970s and 80s.
The richness of detail, the luminous colors, and the dreamlike atmosphere of this composition make it a particularly decorative and sought-after piece for a contemporary or vintage interior.
This work is among the most characteristic pieces by Jacques Margerin, an artist known for his figurative compositions combining figures, animals, and imaginary architecture in an immediately recognizable style. Ideal for collectors of contemporary prints, lovers of modern naive art, or those seeking distinctive décor.
