Against a deep midnight blue background, scenes inspired by traditional Brittany stand out. A young woman in a traditional headdress carrying her basket, a young shepherd holding a lamb, and rural landscapes dotted with flowers, foliage, and golden ears of corn. The large golden arabesques framing the illustrations give the entire piece a beautiful decorative richness. The lid, adorned with a brightly colored bouquet surrounded by a golden border, features the inscription 'Pays d'Auray' in golden letters. One of those lovely tin boxes that people used to keep long after their contents were consumed. Its deep palette and illustrations make it a piece full of character, as appealing in a kitchen as on a shelf among antique objects. Some signs of use and minor oxidation, visible in the photographs. Height approximately 11 cm, side approximately 10 cm. France, 1960s-1980s.
