Jorge Soler is a visual artist of Spanish origin (born in Barcelona in 1946) who has lived in France and also works in California since 1965.
His work focuses primarily on painting, sculpture, and printmaking.
His style is characterized by fragmented figuration, often imbued with abstract or surrealist elements, where faces and bodies are frequently superimposed or deconstructed, creating a sense of memory and presence.
Soler enjoys recognition in the contemporary art world, particularly in Europe.
His works are part of public collections, such as that of the Centre national des arts plastiques (CNAP), and he has completed significant public commissions, such as the monumental sculpture Sentinelles de la mémoire (Sentinels of Memory) in Besançon.
