Superb Original Signed Lithograph - Augusto MURER "Scariolante" (1974) - Numbered 57/150
Magnificent original lithograph by the Italian artist Augusto Murer, dating from 1974.
Ideal for collectors or to add a strong, vintage artistic touch to your decor. The lithograph looks superb once framed (see the first illustration photo).

Item Condition:
The artwork is sold unframed and will be shipped carefully rolled. It has a beautiful overall appearance but exhibits some imperfections due to age (visible in the photos):
Traces of tape from a previous frame, mainly located on the back of the artwork (in the four corners).
A few small creases and light foxing/stains on the margins.
Nothing serious: these minor imperfections disappear or are greatly diminished once the artwork is placed under a nice mat and framed. Please look carefully at all the photos to form your own opinion.

Augusto Murer (1922-1985) was a renowned Italian sculptor, painter, and engraver. Deeply humanist and committed, his art is marked by themes of resistance, the peasant world, and the dignity of the working class. His works are characterized by a lively, powerful, and expressive style, perfectly conveying movement and emotion.
The painting ("Scariolante" - 1974):
This work depicts scariolanti (Italian for "diggers" or "wheelbarrow workers"). Through a play of dynamic lines and muted tones enhanced with green, Murer captures the raw physical effort and solidarity of these back-bound laborers pushing their heavy wheelbarrows. It is a powerful tribute to human labor and the working class, themes dear to the artist.
