Elegant small pitcher in genuine Limoges porcelain, signed Jammet-Seignolles, whose delicate decoration testifies to the craftsmanship of Limoges manufacturers in the second half of the 20th century. The history of Jammet-Seignolles is rooted in the grand porcelain tradition of Limoges. Associated as decorators from 1950, Jammet and Seignolles took over the Saint-Brice manufactory in 1962, inheriting a factory whose origins date back to 1825. They then continued production committed to the quality of Limoges porcelain while evolving the shapes and decorations to suit the new tastes of the 1960s and 1970s. This small pitcher perfectly belongs to this universe. Its silhouette retains the classic elegance of French tableware while adopting lighter lines. The white porcelain, fine and luminous, is adorned in its upper part with a soft celadon blue on which delicate gilded scrolls, flowers, and arabesques unfold. A fine gold frieze emphasizes the transition with the white body and brings remarkable delicacy to the decoration. The gilding becomes more pronounced on the spout and handle, creating beautiful plays of light and giving this small piece a particularly refined presence. The scalloped foot, also highlighted with gold, harmoniously completes the composition and recalls the attention to detail in Limoges productions. The reverse clearly bears the mark « Limoges France – Jammet Seignolles – Limoges France », allowing the piece to be attributed to this renowned manufactory. With its approximately 10 cm in height and an opening of about 7 cm, it was intended for table service, particularly as a small pitcher or creamer. It naturally retains this use but also becomes a very beautiful decorative object, particularly appealing when paired with other white, blue, or gilded porcelains. The porcelain is preserved in very good condition, with no cracks or chips noted. Some discreet traces of time appear on certain gilded parts, mainly on the handle, consistent with its age and use, without detracting from the overall elegance of the piece.
