For sale is a rare rattan lounger from IKEA’s limited NIPPRIG collection, released in 2015.
Available for only a short period of time, the NIPPRIG collection was developed in collaboration with local craftspeople in Vietnam and Indonesia, bringing together traditional craftsmanship and Scandinavian design. IKEA designer Nike Karlsson played a key role in the development of the collection.
The lounger stands out for its sculptural, organically curved silhouette and the striking contrast between natural and black rattan. Each piece was handcrafted, giving every example its own subtle individual character.
Discontinued for many years, this particular model has become increasingly difficult to find and only rarely appears on the secondary market.
