Product description
A characteristic French Floor light by Ligne D, manufactured in the 1980s. This design uniquely combines the flowing lines of Art Nouveau with the geometric elegance of Art Deco, resulting in a striking and sculptural lighting object.
The lamp is designed as a torchiere, intended to spread an atmospheric, indirect light upwards. The construction consists of a slender, dark metal tripod that culminates in an organically shaped, bronze-colored element supporting the glass bowl. The bowl itself is made of thick, textured glass, ensuring a soft and diffuse light distribution. This piece was produced in Montauban, France, as indicated by the manufacturer.
In a well-preserved vintage condition, the lamp shows a character fitting its age. The combination of the dark metal, warm bronze-colored accents, and translucent glass gives the fixture a timeless appearance. The lamp is equipped with a floor dimmer, allowing the light intensity to be adjusted as desired.
This Floor light functions both as an atmospheric light source and as a decorative art object. It is a statement piece that comes into its own particularly well in a living room, hallway, or study with an eclectic, classic, or Hollywood Regency interior.
