Description
Liesbeth Tóth-de Knegt (born in 1945) is a Dutch visual artist primarily known in the Utrecht region. Her work is characterized by an abstract-figurative style and the use of mixed media.
She often works with mixed media on paper or canvas. Her compositions frequently contain architectural elements or landscape references, as seen in titles such as "Vensterbeeld I" and "Spanje". The works range from abstract color studies ("The Sun") to more structured compositions that play with depth and perspectives (such as the "Window Image" series).
Her work often balances abstraction and recognizable forms. "Castles in the Sky" suggests a composition that floats, with light, ethereal forms reminiscent of architecture, yet detached from gravity.
The painting is framed in a dark mat and wooden frame.
