Product description
This is a set of five vintage plates, crafted from Staffordshire Ironstone as part of the esteemed Liberty Blue collection. These pieces, produced in England, are known for their detailed depiction of historical colonial scenes, a hallmark of traditional transferware crockery.
The set consists of five plates, each with a diameter of approximately 25 centimeters. The plates are made of durable ironstone ceramic and decorated using the transfer printing technique, which utilizes original copper engravings. Four of the plates feature the iconic Independence Hall, while the fifth plate depicts another historical English scene. The decoration is executed in a classic blue and white color palette, framed by a rich floral border that enhances the historical aesthetic.
The plates are in good vintage condition, retaining the clarity of the blue print and the luster of the glaze. The set displays the character and quality expected of English crockery from this period, without significant damage affecting structural integrity or visual appeal.
These versatile plates are suitable for both functional use and decorative purposes. They can be an elegant addition to a dining table or serve as wall decoration in an interior with a classic, rural, or English style.
Please note: the fifth plate is not from the same brand but has almost the same decoration.
