Iconic "Gill 28" wall/ceiling lamp by Leucos, Italy, designed by Roberto Pamio in 1962. The lamp features the characteristic flat-domed glass shade made of mouth-blown clear glass with an opal white center. The wide transparent rim makes the shade appear to float, giving the Gill its typical Italian Modern/Space Age aesthetic. The white base is marked "LEUCOS Italy." All three mounting screws for the glass shade are present. Details: • Manufacturer: Leucos, Italy • Model: Gill / Gill 28 • Designer: Roberto Pamio • Design: 1962 • Dimensions: approx. Ø 29 cm × H 15 cm • Material: mouth-blown glass, clear and opal white • Base: white plastic • Socket: E27 • Use: wall or ceiling mounting Condition: Good vintage condition with signs of age and use. There are small chips around the edges of the three mounting holes of the glass shade. These are located directly in the area of the screws and are largely concealed when the light is mounted. The inside of the base is slightly yellowed due to age and shows some heat discoloration around the socket; this is not visible when the light is mounted. There is also a small dent or irregularity in the glass, which appears to be a result of the hand-blown glass manufacturing process and is not a subsequent break. Please see the detailed photos. Functionality tested – the light works. The cable visible in some photos was used solely for testing purposes and is not included in the offer. Electrical connection and installation should be carried out professionally.
