Sale including frame. Dimensions including frame. Leon Bosboom, a Dutch artist born in 1959, has dedicated his life to creating art that stimulates the senses and enchants the mind. With a 30-year career in design and art, he has developed a unique and distinctive style, guided by intuition and inspiration. His studio, located in bustling Amersfoort, is an oasis of creativity where Bosboom makes his magic happen. Here he combines layers of epoxy resin and acrylic to create stunning works of art that invite the viewer to get lost in a world of color and texture. Bosboom's passion for the Spanish bull is a central theme in his work. He admires the strength and elegance of these majestic animals and manages to capture them in works such as "Viva el Toro" and "Toro Escollo." But his admiration for the bulls goes beyond their physical appearance; it also symbolizes his abhorrence of bullfighting, which drives him to celebrate and protect the beauty of these animals. Recently, Bosboom has broadened his artistic horizons by focusing on creating portraits inspired by iconic photographs of movie stars. Using a mix of acrylic, coffee and epoxy resin, he gives these portraits a unique depth and expression that have become his trademark. But it's not just about the finished product for Bosboom; it's the process of creation that truly fulfills him. He paints in the moment, letting his artworks evolve and transform as he creates them. His studio in Hilversum is an open invitation for art lovers to experience his creative process, have a cup of coffee and witness the magic of Leon Bosboom. He has his works hanging in several galleries and restaurants, including the Librije. For more information about his work see his
