Designed by Charles Lemanceau and produced by the Saint-Clément factory in France, this Art Deco ceramic sculpture in crackled enamel depicts a pair of deer or antelope. The work is signed on the edge of the base: "Lemanceau" and the underside is stamped "France. Lemanceau (1905-1980) was one of the most important sculptors of the French Art Deco period, specializing in animal sculptures. Wear consistent with use and age, no damage or repairs, in excellent vintage condition.
