Product description
Exceptional LC-2 matching set in its original black leather. First owner (1979) with original invoices & delivery papers.
Low numbers : 003528 & 003559
Designed by Le Corbusier, Pierre Jeanneret & Charlotte Perriand for Cassina.
ARCHETYPE OF MODERNITY
A timeless style that has written its own chapter in design history, becoming an icon of global fame. Perfect today in any residential or contract setting.
Designed for ease of conversation, the armchair was exhibited in 1929 at the Salon d’Automne in Paris as the archetype of the modern concept in furnishings, interpreted by its authors as “household equipment”.
The separation between the metal structure and the cushions is consistent with the principles of Rationalism, just as the separation between the parts is based on an industrial approach to production, reminiscent of the architectural relationship between the loadbearing structure and the in-fill elements.
Condition :
Very good vintage condition. The leather shows a patina that matches the age and wear of the sofa. Great patina.
The set comes with original invoice & delivery papers. Numbers & Cassina stamp on frame.
Dimensions:
2-seater : W130 x D70 x H67 cm
3-seater : W180 x D70 x H67 cm
