Product description
Large hollow Tamegroute glazed terracotta candle holder, Morocco, relatively vintage production from the early years. Slender screw-shaped silhouette, sculptural, enhanced by a magnificent enamel nuanced with deep greens, brown and black, with drips and irregularities characteristic of this type of craftsmanship. Hand-shaped, stemming from the traditional know-how of the potters of the Drâa Valley.
Approximately 14-15 cm max diameter at the base, 55.5cm high. 5cm diameter top opening. Very good general condition, with a small discreet chip on the bottom of one side and a slightly larger one a little higher up, also discreet, as well as some chips under the original and invisible base. There is also a slight original white speckling on one side, as well as the firing and enameling irregularities specific to this artisanal production. 5kg.
