Product description
A striking and robust Southeast Asian bronze rain drum, also known as a frog drum or drinking table, crafted in the traditional Shan style and likely originating from Eastern Burma (Myanmar). Attributed to skilled Karen artisans, it features detailed tribal decoration and exceptional craftsmanship.
The drum has a rich verdigris green patina and a tapered shape with sturdy side handles for hanging. The rounded top is decorated with sculptural frogs, concentric rings, and a central sunburst or star motif. Both sides are uniquely decorated with five elephants in relief—a rare and striking detail.
