Product description
This is a large, hand-painted vase, made of Portuguese earthenware. The piece is a representative example of traditional ceramics from the Alcobaça region, known for its rich history in pottery. The vase stands out for its classic baluster shape and the lively, hand-applied floral decor.
Crafted from faience earthenware, the vase features a glossy, white-glazed base that serves as a canvas for the polychrome painting. The decoration is dominated by deep cobalt blue, complemented by accents in red, yellow, and purple. The underside is marked 'Faianças Alcobaça Portugal', confirming its origin and artisanal character. The scalloped rim at the top adds an elegant detail to the whole.
The overall condition of the vase is excellent, retaining its original luster and the clarity of its colors. The hand-painted nature ensures that every detail is unique, contributing to the charm and authenticity of the object. There are no clear signs of wear that detract from its aesthetic value.
With its impressive size, this vase is a striking decorative element, suitable as a floor vase or as a centerpiece on a sideboard or a large table. The design fits well within a classic, rural, or eclectic interior where it can add a colorful and authentic accent.
