A large pendant lamp by the German manufacturer Peill & Putzler, presumably dating from the 1970s. The piece is a notable example of the manufacturer’s work with textured glass and sculptural forms.
The lamp features a hand-blown glass sphere with a distinct bubble texture that beautifully diffuses light. The transparent glass contrasts with the sleek, mirror-like finish of the chrome, embodying the Space Age aesthetic of the 1970s.
The lamp is in good vintage condition. The electrical components are original to the piece.
