Large oval platter, Gien Rouen Sainfoin pattern, 1990
Gien Rouen Sainfoin pattern dinner service, stamped "limited edition 693/1500" under the matching tureen.
This design is part of the grand earthenware tradition of the Gien factory, founded in 1821. Inspired by the famous 18th-century Rouen designs, the Rouen Sainfoin pattern reinterprets classic floral and scroll motifs in a rich and refined style.
Produced in a limited edition, this service showcases Gien's historical expertise, renowned for the quality of its glazes and the delicacy of its decoration. A distinctive piece of tableware, both heritage-worthy and decorative, ideal for an elegant table setting or for adding to a collection.

Very good overall condition, vintage item, showing signs of age and manufacturing (slight crazing of the glaze, common on antique pieces, without affecting its durability + one tiny chip on the underside, not visible).
This model is no longer manufactured by Gien. A similar dish is sold new on the Gien pottery website starting at €119.
