Product description
Striking vintage Murano art glass bowl, attributed to Arte Nuova Murano (Pustetto & Zanetti), circa 1950s–1960s. A substantial hand-crafted piece with a sculptural triangular form, made using the traditional sommerso technique: an intense cobalt blue inner layer is surrounded by yellow-green glass and encased in a thick layer of clear glass. The yellow-green glass contains uranium and shows a bright green fluorescence under UV light, creating a particularly spectacular effect. Its generous proportions and considerable weight – approximately 1.88 kg – give the piece a strong sculptural presence. It can be displayed as a decorative bowl, vide-poche or standalone art glass object. Vintage condition with surface wear and scratches consistent with age. There is a stable crack/fissure near one corner, clearly shown in the photographs. No pieces are missing and the structure remains solid. Please review the detailed photographs carefully as they form part of the condition description.
