Large Murano blown glass ashtray, made using the Sommerso technique, combining multiple layers of colored glass. The light blue core is enveloped by a deep cobalt blue, with subtle turquoise reflections within the thickness of the glass. Free and organic form, hot-worked, with a thick, undulating wall punctuated by four notches. The layering of colors and the substantial thickness of the glass create beautiful effects of depth and transparency. Murano, Italy, 1960s. Dimensions: Ø 17 × H 8 cm.
