Large decorative ceramic plate by J.G. Picard, Vallauris, France, circa 1960s.
The plate features a highly stylized bird surrounded by leaves and floral motifs, executed in warm and subtle shades of beige, brown, ochre and muted orange.
Its generous 36 cm diameter gives the piece a strong decorative presence, making it ideal as a wall plate or displayed on a shelf or console.
A characteristic example of mid-century Vallauris pottery, combining French craftsmanship with a graphic Mediterranean aesthetic.
