There are objects that have served. Truly served. This large slate gray enameled sheet metal stockpot is one of them. Twenty liters in capacity, sturdy handles, a domed lid that retains steam: it's the perfect tool for large-scale cooking, for winter pot-au-feu, for September preserves. It served its purpose for decades. It's here today for another life. The exterior enamel is a deep slate gray, with blue-gray nuances that vary with the light. The interior is off-white, intact. The upper rim and the base are in exposed copper, warm and matte. The two side handles are made of robust, molded black enamel. The domed lid is topped with a chromed metal grip ring. Body height approximately 28 cm, diameter approximately 30 cm. Condition to note: several enamel chips with visible rust on the lower part of the exterior body, visible in the photos. The interior is in good condition. These marks of use are consistent with the object's age and history. French or Central European production, 1950s-1970s. In a country kitchen, a workshop, a laundry room, or simply placed on a shelf as an industrial decorative element, this stockpot commands attention. Its slate color harmonizes with raw wood, linen, and waxed concrete. It's an object with character, and it shows.
