A beautiful and rare, authentic, antique bronze standing Buddha from Thailand, dating from the Rattanakosin period. This large specimen is gilded with 24-carat gold leaf, circa the mid-19th century. This object comes from a private collection.
The Sunday Buddha, Pang Thawai Net, translates as "Seven Days of Inquiry." This pose features a standing Buddha with crossed arms, with the right hand still covering the left.
It represents a time shortly after the Buddha attained enlightenment after standing before a bodhi tree for seven consecutive days without blinking.
This pose is called Pang Thawai Net, which translates as "7 days with open eyes." This showpiece will bring tranquility to your interior and is a real eye-catcher in the right lighting.
