Product description
Large brass planter in Art Nouveau style, cache pot or jardinière with repoussé relief decoration; these items were also often used to store firewood. The flowerpot is decorated with flowers and stars or suns all around; the bottom rim resembles a hammered pattern. A high-quality object from approximately the mid-20th century, unmarked.
Large-sized planter; the brass has acquired a very beautiful aged patina over the years. Repoussé is an ancient metalworking technique in which malleable metal (such as gold, silver, copper) is hammered from the back to create relief.
This object is in very good used condition, with light signs of age and use consistent with its age, such as small dents, discoloration, and oxidation. Check the photos for more details!
