Product description
Beautiful and large ironstone tureen from the K&G Lunéville manufacture, Compiègne model, antique late 19th or early 20th century, 1880-1900. Elegant round shape resting on a pedestal, with two side handles and its original lid. Blue-green transfer decoration on a glazed white background, featuring swans, floral friezes, medallions, and rocaille-style ornaments.
Height approximately 24cm, width 30cm with handles, diameter approximately 20cm. Very good general condition for its age, beautiful naturally crazed antique enamel, there is a small chip with a hairline crack on the reverse of the lid near a handle, not penetrating and not weakening, two very small discreet fleabites on the inner rim, as well as some light stains and original firing/manufacturing defects, slight patina at the foot and a small enamel defect on the top, discreet. Approximately 1.200kg.
