Large antique bell jar or globe with original black wooden base, the glass is mouth blown, the bell jar dates from the early 20th century or earlier.
A fragile and delicate object, authentic handmade glass with small bubbles and imperfections, the fine glass dome is not perfectly symmetrical, but that gives the object character and just shows that it is not machine made, glass blowing is a lost craft, hand blown glass products have a level of quality, uniqueness and craftsmanship that sets them apart.
Wonderful object to display a special item, a rare or fragile figurine, a flower arrangement, taxidermy, the possibilities are many!
