A spectacular monumental vintage crystal flower chandelier in the French Hollywood Regency tradition, closely matching documented Maison Baguès-style lighting from the mid-20th century. This exceptional statement chandelier features a beautifully sculptural gilt-metal frame arranged as an abundant botanical composition. Slender branches extend outwards in a dramatic starburst, carrying dozens of hand-cut clear and deep amber crystal leaves. Rich amber crystal petals form jewel-like flowers around sparkling faceted centres, while transparent crystal leaves capture and refract the light throughout the entire structure. The light sources are discreetly integrated among the flowers, allowing the chandelier itself to remain the visual focus. The combination of warm amber crystal, transparent glass and gold-toned metal creates a particularly atmospheric glow. Even when switched off, the chandelier functions as a large-scale decorative sculpture.
DESIGN AND ATTRIBUTION
An exact published comparable has been catalogued by a specialist 1stDibs dealer as a French mid-20th-century fixture in the style of Maison Baguès. No maker’s mark has presently been identified on this example; it is therefore offered accurately as Maison Baguès style rather than as a signed work. The floral construction is also associated with the glamorous French and Continental European lighting designs of the Hollywood Regency period.

CONDITION
Very good vintage condition, with only gentle age-related wear to the metal structure. All crystal flowers and leaves are present and free from cracks or repairs except for one transparent crystal - the top has been a little chipped and repaired and the imperfection is not visible. As with any vintage electrical fixture, professional installation by a qualified electrician is recommended. Please examine all photographs carefully, as they form an important part of the description.
