Bubble glass is one of the most demanding techniques in art glassmaking. The air bubbles, trapped within the molten mass during the blowing process, create a lively and irregular texture that light penetrates and amplifies. This large bowl is a striking example of this technique. The deep golden amber of the glass, warm and luminous, transforms according to the angle and intensity of the light. In direct sunlight, the bowl radiates. Under artificial light, it shifts towards burnished gold. The shape is flared, very open, almost flat, with a discreet low ring foot. Its 40 cm diameter makes it a standalone display piece, equally at home on a dining table or a living room cabinet. Unsigned. The style and technique are characteristic of French or Italian glass production from the period. Diameter: approximately 40 cm. Excellent state of preservation.
