Antique, very large and extremely rare antique decanter circa 1840 (authenticated), stamped and numbered by a now-defunct pottery works, made of slipware in a very soft and unique gray color. Large capacity of 2.5 liters. Beautiful relief of a bearded man's face beneath the spout. Multiple arabesque reliefs on the rounded body. Scale relief on the foot. Grooved relief at the joints of the top and bottom. Flushed relief on the large curved handle. Wide burgundy-chocolate rims on the top and bottom. This decanter stands alone as a unique decorative piece and can also serve as an elegant vase. A collector's item in perfect condition. 34 x 21 cm
