Beautiful and generously sized Mid-Century Modern wool rug from 1960s Czechoslovakia, featuring a striking geometric composition characteristic of the period. The design combines bold architectural blocks and fine linear patterns in deep brown, vibrant red, soft green and warm off-white. Despite its strong graphic character, the composition is beautifully balanced and works particularly well in Mid-Century Modern, Scandinavian, Modernist and eclectic interiors. Made from wool, the rug has a warm and substantial feel. Its impressive dimensions of 335 × 240 cm (approximately 132 × 94.5 in.) make it an excellent statement piece for a large living room, dining area or bedroom. The rug has been professionally cleaned and is ready for use. It remains in good vintage condition, although some stains and areas of discoloration are still visible, particularly within the lighter sections. These are consistent with its age and previous use and are shown in the photographs. Please also see the accompanying video for a detailed view of the rug and its condition. Please note: The first image is an AI-generated promotional presentation image, created solely to show the rug against a clean white background. No intentional changes have been made to the design, colours, condition or visible staining of the rug. All subsequent photographs show the actual rug. Due to its exceptionally large size, it could not be photographed using our usual studio setup, so these images were taken in a different setting than our standard product photography. A beautiful original 1960s textile with generous proportions, natural wool construction and a particularly strong Modernist geometric design.
