Product description
Rare glass table lamp designed by Timo Sarpaneva and produced by Ittala for Lilux, Finland, 1969, using the "bark glass" technique to imitate nature's organic textures.
The lamp's base is made of transparent blown glass, featuring a richly textured surface reminiscent of tree bark. It is topped with a white opaline polycarbonate diffuser that ensures soft light distribution, and crowned with a cylindrical lampshade in beige textile. This design, typical of the Mid-Century era, was produced in Finland and demonstrates the excellence of Scandinavian design.
Preserved in very good overall condition, this lamp has withstood the decades while retaining its authentic character. The wiring and switch are original, attesting to its historical integrity. The set is complete and functional, ready to illuminate a new space.
The glass part is rigorously intact.
The lampshade shows signs of handling but is in good condition. The reflector is impeccable. The junction between the glass and the reflector is slightly yellowed and more pronounced.
