The base is a rectangular block, veneered with elm burl on its four sides and encircled by polished brass rods that rise in a single line from the base to the top plate. The square lampshade is covered with ecru fabric and encircled with brass.
Nothing is sculpted: the entire composition relies on the design of the edges and the opposition between the disordered pattern of the burl, its knots and burrs, and the regularity of the metal. This contrast is what makes the lamp.
Original veneer and brass. The lampshade is the original one for the lamp. Electrical installation checked, European plug.
