Private sellerProduct description
This is a vintage floor lamp by the Spanish manufacturer Mariner, crafted in a distinguished Empire style. The piece is defined by its elegant combination of bronze and brass, forming a sculptural silhouette that references neoclassical design principles.
The lamp features a tripod structure, with three slender legs that transition from a dark bronze to a lighter brass finish, terminating in ornate claw feet. These rest upon a circular base with a dark stone inlay. The light source is an uplighter, housed within an urn-shaped diffuser that has a textured, dark grey finish and is accented with decorative bronze swags and finials. A label confirms its Spanish origin and specifies a 220-volt electrical system.
This piece presents in a very good vintage condition, showing minimal signs of wear consistent with its age. The metalwork retains its original finish, with a combination of polished and patinated surfaces that enhance its classical character. The structural and electrical components are well-preserved.
As a significant statement piece, this floor lamp is well-suited for a formal living room, a study, or a grand entryway. Its design provides soft, indirect ambient lighting and complements interiors ranging from Classicisme to Hollywood Regency or eclectic modern spaces.IMPORTANT: the glass or alabaster top shade/plate is missing. As it is positioned, this absence is barely noticeable from the front, but it is clearly indicated to avoid any doubt.
Ideal for living room, hall, boutique hotel, classic office or high-end eclectic interiors.
