Private sellerProduct description
Original Balloon table lamp, also known as Palloncino, designed by Yves Christin for Bilumen and produced in Italy around the 1980s.
The lamp is distinguished by its large yellow diffuser that reproduces the shape of an inflated balloon, complete with the characteristic side knot.
From the knot hangs a thin string with a small decorative multi-striped sphere attached to its end, a detail that accentuates the playful and surprising character of the design.
The diffuser rests on a black circular base, deliberately discreet, which allows the balloon shape to take center stage.
The design transforms a common and light object into a luminous element with a strong sculptural presence, expressing the experimental spirit of Pop Art and late twentieth-century Italian design.
The bright yellow color enhances the curved surface and makes the lamp particularly suitable for contemporary environments, creative spaces, and vintage lighting collections.
Under the base are the original Bilumen brand, the inscription Design: Y. Christin, the indication Made in Italy, and a patent reference.
The item shows slight superficial signs consistent with age. Electrical operation and overall condition must be verified before sale.
An original and immediately recognizable design object, where lighting, irony, and formal experimentation meet.
From a smoke and pet-free home.
