About this seller
Private sellerProduct description
This is a Miniflash table lamp, an iconic piece designed by Joe Colombo for the Italian manufacturer Oluce. Its design reflects the Space Age aesthetic, combining functionality and a distinctive sculptural form that remains relevant in contemporary design.
Made entirely of lacquered metal, this lamp features a white finish. Its structure consists of a cylindrical base and an adjustable reflector that directs light, creating accent or reading illumination. The compact design, with a height of 22 cm, makes it versatile for various spaces. This model, the 222, is part of the broader Flash lamp family and is a celebrated example of 1960s Italian design.
The piece is in good vintage condition, fully functional, and retains its original finish. The patina and signs of age are consistent with its age and use, lending character and authenticity to the object. The wiring is original, as visible in the images.
Thanks to its compact form and timeless design, the Miniflash lamp adapts to a variety of settings, from a desk in a home office to a bedside table in a bedroom. Its historical importance is highlighted by its inclusion in the permanent collection of the Museum of Modern Art in New York.
