Product description
Lamp with a plane tree leaf inclusion by Pierre Giraudon, 1970s. France, made of resin. Table lamp composed of a cylindrical fabric shade and a transparent resin base. The base showcases a plane tree leaf encased in the material, as if suspended. Very decorative effect: warm light, simple volume, contrast between the softness of the textile and the clarity of the block. A typical piece of the 70s taste for synthetic materials and naturalised object play. Ideal as an accent lamp, on a console or bedside table, for a warm atmosphere. Pierre Giraudon is a French designer associated with resin lighting (often PMMA/plexi) and inclusion decor. His work, heavily influenced by the 60s-70s, plays with transparency, light, and captured objects (leaves, textures, decorative elements). These pieces are sought after for their sculptural presence and immediately identifiable vintage aesthetic.
