Jumo 600 Lamp. 💡 ✔️ 1st edition - Circa 1940-1945. ✔️ The oldest and most difficult version to find. ✔️ Created by Société Nouvelle des Etablissements Jumo. ✔️ A company founded in the 1940s. "J U M O" comes from the contraction of the first two letters of the three founders' names: - Yves JU-jeau - Pierre & André MO-unique. The company closed in the 1980s. These three founders had a simple 💡 but avant-garde idea: to create functional, high-quality, and elegant lamps. ✔️ Their lamps were often found in offices or workshops; therefore, this vintage design lamp can be categorized as part of industrial decor and industrial heritage. The excellent quality of these lights ✔️ is undeniable. In 33 years, they produced over 100 models. The 600 model is often mistakenly attributed to Charlotte Perriand, when in fact she simply selected it for the "Le Bazar" exhibition at the Musée des Arts Décoratifs in Paris in 1949. This lamp boasts a beautiful design, a very clean, minimalist aesthetic ✔️ but its deceptive simplicity belies the thought and work of the designers. This vintage lamp has a remarkable design, reflecting a true aesthetic vision, a blend of straight lines and curves combined with glossy and matte chrome. ✔️ Here, the "globe" reflector is fully adjustable. ✔️ The base is weighted with cast iron and includes an integrated switch. ✔️ The lamp is in perfect working order. ✔️ This is the earliest version of the Jumo 600, and therefore rarer. ✔️ Some signs of use and wear, which are normal for a truly antique or vintage lamp, and remain quite discreet. ✔️ The bulb is not included in the sale. Dimensions: H: 44 cm, Projector diameter: 13.50 cm, Base diameter: 12 cm. B22 type socket, compatible with energy-saving bulbs.
