Jumo 600 lamp. 💡 ✔️ 1st edition - Circa 1940-1945. ✔️ The oldest, hardest-to-find version. ✔️ Created by Société Nouvelle des Etablissements Jumo. ✔️ Company created in the 40's. "J U M O" comes from the contraction of the first 2 letters of the 3 creators: - Yves JU-jeau - Pierre & André MO-unique. The company closed in the 80s. These three designers had a simple 💡 but avant-garde idea: to create functional, quality and elegant lamps. ✔️ Their lamps were often found in offices or workshops, so this vintage-era design lamp can be classed as part of the industrial heritage of indus decoration. The excellent quality of ✔️ lamps is unquestionable. In 33 years, they have produced over 100 models. The 600 model is often wrongly attributed to Charlotte Perriand, when in fact she selected it for the "Le Bazar" exhibition at the Musée des Arts Décoratifs in Paris in 1949. A beautiful design for this lamp, a very pure, minimalist aesthetic ✔️ but its false simplicity conceals the thought and work of the designers. This antique luminaire has a remarkable design, with real aesthetic research, a mix of straight lines and curves combined with shiny and matte chrome. ✔️ Here, the "ball" reflector is fully adjustable. ✔️ The base is weighted with cast iron and has an integrated switch. ✔️ The lamp works perfectly. ✔️ This is the older, rarer version of the Jumo 600. ✔️ Some traces of use and wear, which are normal for a truly old or vintage lamp, but remain rather discreet. ✔️ The bulb is not part of the sale. Dimensions: H: 44 cm D of projector: 13.50 cm D of base: 12 cm Socket type B22 which accepts low-energy bulbs.
A few traces of use and wear are normal for a truly antique or vintage lamp, but remain rather discreet.
