About this seller
Private sellerProduct description
This pendant lamp was designed in the 1960s by Erik Höglund and Einar Bäckström for Boda Glasbruk, Sweden. It represents an iconic example of Scandinavian modern design and the Space Age style, characterized by bold geometric shapes and the innovative use of colored glass and metal. Höglund was known for his sculptural approach to glass, while Bäckström excelled in industrial design. These lamps are highly sought-after, representing 20th-century Scandinavian design and mid-century modern furniture. This is an authentic piece that has become increasingly rare and valuable.
As shown in the photos, it shows slight signs of age given its age: two very small dents on the top and some small paint losses on the inside, which do not show when the lamp is hung, nor do they ensure its authenticity and age. It remains a beautiful and striking piece of Scandinavian Space Age art. The lamp measures 70 cm in circumference, 11 cm in height, and 22 cm from the base. It is ready to hang, with an electrical cord and an E27 socket already included.
