Ladder chairs attributed to Cees Braakman
1960s
Teak, faux leather, plywood
Comfortable curved seat and backrest
Apart from a few minor scratches from use, the faux leather is in surprisingly good condition (perhaps professionally reupholstered at some point?)
The teak and plywood show signs of wear commensurate with their age. I have more photos available upon request.
Each chair has some minor damage that could be repaired. This should not be difficult for a craftsman. I am happy to be transparent about this and have included photos. The chairs function perfectly fine as they are now and look fine at first glance.
Left chair: photos 2 to 4. One leg has been attached with sealant/glue and screws. Looks like it was done a long time ago. Crack in a leg caused by a small glide being tapped in.
Middle chair: photos 5 to 8. Cracks in the armrest tips. Small water stains on the back. Chair on the right: photo 9/10. Pieces missing from the underside of the seat, partially filled with putty.
