Product description
For sale:
2 La Relco Milano Floor lights, vintage, 20th century 80s.
In very good condition.
Relco Milano (also known as La Relco Milano or Relco Italia) is an Italian brand and manufacturer known for its iconic and stylish lighting designs from the second half of the 20th century (notably the 70s, 80s, and 90s).
These approximately 175 cm high lamps, with their curved green patinated brass metal stands on concrete bases and oval frosted Murano glass shades, are true archetypal style icons for this brand.
Characteristics of Relco Milano:
• Design style:
Modernist, mid-century modern, postmodern, and Hollywood regency, often characterized by sleek metalwork, brass, chrome, Murano glass, and geometric shapes.
• Known designers:
The brand collaborated with renowned designers such as Gianfranco Frattini (who, among others, designed famous floor lamps and torchiere lamps for the brand).
• Technology:
Many of their fixtures were known for using advanced (halogen) technologies of that time and integrated dimmers.
• Current company:
The parent company (Relco S.r.l. / Relco Group) still produces lighting components and LED lighting.
These lamps come with a loose sticker from the (reseller) company Mabrilux, Belgium.
Can be sold together for €750,-
