This item is an exclusive wool plaid designed by the Swedish textile designer Fanny Aronsen. This luxurious home accessory is known for its minimalist, Scandinavian color-block design with rich, tactile structures. Her designs and accessories were often released at the time under her own studio or in close collaboration with the well-known design textile brand Kvadrat.
Fanny Aronsen's plaids are made from high-quality natural materials (usually 100% virgin wool or worsted wool) and are characterized by refined color use – in this specific case, a combination of lilac, taupe, deep brown, and black.
There is a small snag in the beige, but it is not noticeable and is easy to fix.
Fanny Aronsen was a Swedish textile and product designer who created a unique and influential body of work. She made luxurious and sophisticated contemporary fabrics, characterised by sumptuous colours and intriguing tactile materials. After working in Paris, Brussels and Amsterdam, Fanny Aronsen returned to Sweden to set up her own studio in 1998. She was also a professor in textile design at the University of Stockholm, where she lectured at the renowned Konstfack College of Arts, Crafts and Design. Traces of Nordic history and culture can be discerned in her work, although the final results are a sophisticated mix of influences and directions.
